Parish Clerk Apology

Dear Residents

It has been brought to my attention that the APRIL minutes are incorrect following amendments made at the MAY meeting.

I would like to apologise to anybody who feels that they have been misled by myself in any way by not altering the minutes sooner. This issue has now been rectified and the correct minutes can now be viewed.

Please feel free to contact me about any of the work that the Parish Council does of if you would like to speak to me directly.

Kind regards

Rachel Avery
Parish Clerk

Parish Council Elections 2015

Elections are an important democratic process.  Having a strongly contested election is essential to having a healthy, refreshed council, brimming with enthusiasm and ready to serve your community for the years ahead.

Remember, just because someone had been a councillor before, it does not mean they are guaranteed to be a councillor again. You may find yourselves with an entirely new council!

If you are community-minded and care about people and our environment, then you may like to consider standing for election to the new Stokeinteignhead Parish Council in 2015.

You can get your nomination papers from Teignbridge, who are the body responsible for administering the election process, and these will need to be completed and returned on Forde House in person by 9th April 2015.

Please note that you do not need to contact or apply via the current Parish Council. Your nomination for election will be kept confidential and no-one will know who is standing for election until Teignbridge releases its official “Publication Of Statements Of Persons Nominated” on 10th April 2015.

Polling Day is 7th May 2015.

The parish has approx 650 registered voters and includes Rocombe and Teignharvey as well as the village itself.

The full term is 4 years (though you could step down before then if your circumstances change).

No previous experience is necessary- Good Luck!
