Section137 of the Local Government Act 1972 allows the Parish Council to spend a limited amount on activities for which it has no specific power, but which the authority considers ‘will bring direct benefit to the area, or any part of it or all or some of its inhabitants’. The Local Government and Housing Act 1989 added the requirement that the benefit obtained should be commensurate with the expenditure incurred.
Community/voluntary/charitable organisations may apply to the Parish Council for a grant. They must be non-profit making.

Application forms are now available to download from the website, or you can contact the Clerk for a paper copy.
All applications must be accompanied by supporting documents and copies of accounts.

Deadline for receiving applications is Friday 28 August 2020.
The Parish Council will consider all applications at its meeting on Tuesday 8 September.
